CDL PROGRAM
CLASS A CDL COURSE
This 8 week course consists of 60 hours of classroom instruction and 160 hours of behind the wheel and range training. Students will participate in classroom instruction, behind the wheel, and range instruction in regulations, truck transportation terminology, vehicle inspection, backing and work place ethics, taxes, business management, maneuverability, backing, driving, and Safety in Operations. Students will be well qualified to take both the written and driving portion of the CDL test, and will also receive their DOT Medical Card at the conclusion of this course.
CLASS B CDL COURSE
This 8 week course consists of 50 hours of classroom instruction and 70 hours of behind the wheel and range training. Students will participate in behind the wheel (BTW) and range training, passenger bus endorsement, regulations, truck transportation terminology, vehicle inspection and work place ethics, backing, maneuverability and safety in operations. Students will receive their DOT Medical Card and be well qualified to take both the written and driving portion of the CDL test.
PROGRAM LENGTH
Program lengths are approximate. Schedule changes or unsuccessful completion of courses, or withdrawal from class or USLCA will affect program length. Every reasonable effort is made to achieve completion goals at the stated times.
